Tom Selleck-2Thomas William Selleck is an American actor from the United States. His breakout role was Thomas Magnum (private investigator) in the television series Magnum. (1980-1988) during which time the actor received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and won in 1985. Since the year 2010, Selleck has co-starred as New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. From 2005 onward the actor played troubled small-town police chief Jesse Stone in nine television films inspired by the Robert B. Parker novels.In films, Selleck has played bachelor architect Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and its sequel Three Men and a Little Lady (1990). From the time of Magnum, P.I., his appearances have included more than 50 television roles and in film, including the movies Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball.
